When you and your "Beloved" clash over values, attitudes and priorities, always remember....

  • Love your spouse.  Be devoted, prayerful and encouraging, but don't try to be responsible or feel guilt.  The issue of salvation is between your beloved and God.
  • Ask for the Lord for the peace to deal with the now, and the courage to deal with the future
  • Focus on your Savior rather than your struggles, and on your love for your beloved, rather than your differences.  God loves your spouse even more than you do.
  • Make your beloved the number one human being in your life.
  • Rest assured that God can and will use your mate.  God is not limited because your beloved does not believe.
  • Happiness is possible in an unequally yoked or spiritually mismatched situation.
  • When you are not seeing much happen concerning your beloved's salvation, remember, "We live by faith, not by sight" (2 Cor. 5:7)  I
  • Even though you can't praise God for the circumstances, always praise Him in the circum-stances, or despite them.   Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice! I suggest you read

2 Chron. 20:1-30.  This story tells of the amazing

        power and effectiveness of praise!

One of our members shared that she fasted for the first time and was given an answer concerning a shortcoming that was a hindrance to her walk with the Lord.  The Lord also sovereignly gave her the way to change it.  He is faithful to perform His Word.

This is the first step in the removal of the flesh that our spouse sees in us and uses as an excuse not to see the God in us.  Fasting will remove the stuff in us that kills the witness.  And the Glory belongs to the Lord.
